I am sitting in front of the television, watching something but not actually watching as my eyes are stuck on the screen but my mind is somewhere else.
Where?
It went back to the day of Aaragya’s (my daughter) first birthday.
My younger sister sent a bicycle as Aaragya’s first birthday gift.
My elder sister was trying to assemble the parts of the bicycle and she got everything together except for one little part that was somehow not fitting into the assembly’s groove.
After trying to fit it for many hours she gave up and brought the bicycle as it is to present it to my daughter. She told me about her struggle with a small piece of steel rod that was not going inside the groove and was getting stuck on the surface. She asked me to do it on my own or take help of a mechanic.
I tried to do it for a few minutes, but it was just too adamant. I took a pause and said it shouldn't be so difficult as the instruction says that it can be assembled at home; maybe we are missing out on something.
I thought of giving it another try and this time instead of pressing and twisting the metal rod, I pushed the groove a little bit to one side and BOOM!!
The rod went right inside!
What did I do differently than before?
I said, "It shouldn't be so difficult"!
Is it not true for all the difficult situations we are going through in our lives?
It shouldn't be so difficult!
Maybe we are pressing the wrong button!
Maybe this is not what we are destined to do!
Maybe this is not my path!
